Some of us have an obscenely blasphemous sense of humor... some of us don't. This post is for those who do! Those of you who do not... you've been warned!
Have a favorite bit of blasphemy you'd like to share? By all means, do it! Pix, cartoons, videos, blogs, articles... show us what you've got.
This post is a No Holds Barred safe haven for blasphemy with one exception: No depictions of Muhammad or depictions/descriptions of desecration of the Quran.
"WTF... are you serious. Fuck you and your rules. I'm outta here...", you say?
Sure... bitch, moan, complain, go somewhere else, but here's why: While YOU may be anonymous, WE are not. We host a PUBLIC Meetup group. For the safety of Meetup group members and GodlessLiberals.com staff, we ask that you show restraint, be good without god and bury your impulse to post this particular brand of blasphemy on our website.
Sure, this is bullshit. We're limiting one of our core beliefs, freedom of speech, because this kind of thing gets some extremists within the Muslim faith completely bent out of shape. It's a truly sad state of affairs, but honestly, we believe it says more about those extremists than it does us.
Case in point: The Onion published an article in September 2012 that in no way, shape or form included a depiction of Muhammad (not even a stick figure), but it did include Moses, Jesus, Ganesha and Buddha, "...engaging in a lascivious sex act of considerable depravity...". The Onion, its cartoonist and the journalist who wrote the article emerged unscathed! The article concludes, "Though some members of the Jewish, Christian, Hindu, and Buddhist faiths were reportedly offended by the image, sources confirmed that upon seeing it, they simply shook their heads, rolled their eyes, and continued on with their day."
Here's the image (Source: theonion.com). Let the blasphemy begin!
