The Ledge is a new film that is being touted as the "Atheist Broke Back Mountain." Prominent Blogger, Greta Christina, has written an excellent review of this promising new movie,  which has been featured on AlterNet. Christina writes,

I enjoyed the heck out of  "The Ledge" and am recommending it heartily to pretty much everyone. Atheists, believers who are curious about atheists, people who just like good movies -- I recommend "The Ledge" to all of you.

Below is a short synopsis of the film.

After embarking on a passionate affair with his evangelical neighbor's wife, Gavin soon finds himself in a battle of wills that will have life or death consequences. As a non-believing atheist, Gavin is lured by her lover's husband to the ledge of a high rise and told he has one hour to make a choice between his life or the one he loves. Without faith in an afterlife, will he be able to make a decision? It's up to police officer Hollis to save both their lives but the clock is ticking...

If you are in the New York or Los Angeles area you should support The Ledge this weekend. The success of this movie depends on how well it’s attended in LA and NY this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you are in Los Angeles and are interested in seeing this film as part of a group, we encourage you to sign up to attend a viewing with Generation Atheist or The Greater L.A. Skeptics Meetup Groups.
