UPDATE: Teen Jessica Alquist has won her court case. However, the victory is bitter sweet. Popular Atheist Blogger Greta Christina reports that Jessica's "state representative has called the student 'evil' and she has been threatened with violence, rape and death." It is also rumored that the school is looking to appeal. Furthermore, when Freedom From Religion Foundation's Annie Laurie Gaylor attempted to have flowers sent to the teen, the local florists refused to send flowers to her. She was able to, however, place an order out of state with Glimpse of Gia.
For those of you who wish to help this young woman out, feel free to contribute to her college fund. It's already reached $24,000.
Cranston High School West sophomore and Atheist, Jessica Alquist, is fighting to have a mural offering a prayer removed from her school. The Rhode Island Chapter of the ACLU is taking action against a separation of church and state issue in their state.
