Former State Senator and liberal leader, Russ Feingold, launches
Progressives United to take a stand for our core progressive beliefs.

Progressives United:

1. Empower Americans to stand up against the exploding corporate influence
in Washington, especially since the Citizens United decision.

2. Hold our representatives accountable to every constituent, regardless of
economic class or insider access.

3. Support national, state, and local candidates who stand up for our
progressive ideals.

Our founding fathers insisted on a separation of church and state, not because they were anti-religious but because churches were the most dominant centers of unauthorized power and they knew that true democracy could not flourish if institutions of this type were allowed to participate in government. They could not possibly predict that commercial interest would institutionaliz e in the same way and one day wield such profound influence, sometimes under the direction of foreign interests, over what should be the domain of the American people. We need a separation of corporation and state.
