God Will Destroy America for NY Gay Marriage

As you may have all heard, last Friday "New York lawmakers narrowly voted to legalize same-sex marriage."  Gay Rights Activists and supporters cheered as the news spread: "New York will become the sixth state where gay couples can wed and the biggest by far."

While many are labeling this a landmark victory, others are singing a different tune.  People in the religious community are fearful that the words of said Sen. Thomas Duane will prove accurate:  "… we join other proud states that recognize our families and the battle will now go on in other states."

One such person is Pat Robertson of the 700 club. You may already be familiar with Robertson's tendency to promulgate radical theology. For instance, back in 2010, he received a sundry of criticisms for calling a disastrous earthquake in Haiti, the result of a "pact to the devil."

Robertson's latest claim falls well in line with this trend. This time he has suggested that gay marriage in New York will lead to the collapse of the United States.

In history there's never been a civilization ever in history that has embraced homosexuality and turned away from traditional fidelity, traditional marriage, traditional child-rearing, and has survived. There isn’t one single civilization that has survived that openly embraced homosexuality. So you say, 'what's going to happen to America?' Well if history is any guide, the same thing’s going to happen to us.

Please watch the video in it's entirety below.

While God does not hate the sinner He does hate the sin. That is why He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins

Why would he hate the sin, he created it, along with disease, suffering, pain, headaches, pimples, the need for glasses, baldness, scurvy, murder ...

He sent his son who is himself. To "die" but then go to heaven. Some "sacrifice" there.

Uh huh. And the earth is flat, Santa brings the presents and thunder is angels bowling. Grow up.

One of the wonderful blessings the Lord gives is free will therefore you may believe what you choose to believe. I only pray you will understand the truth and accept the Lord as your Savior.

I appreciate the sentiment and try hard never to attack. The problem with believers is that hubris that you know the truth, when in fact, all of it speculation. My choice to study religions and conclude that I don't believe them is no more or less valid than your choice. You BELIEVE you have the truth. It is not fact and all logic is against it. Even so, I hope you won't ever pattern yourself after evil people like Robertson. REad about the prophesized "fales prophets" and see how many of these evangelists fit the profile.

Why anyone at all, including believers, listens to this sick mind and its spew are a mystery to me.Whay anyone at all ever sent him money whe he got on cable is a further mystery. That money gave him credibility he never deserved. He's a major example of insanity getting a free pass under the guise of religion. In a just society, this man would be yelling his garbage on a park bench with everyone walking by ignoring him. If there's a sin in America, its allowing deranged people to opine because they call themselves Reverend. It all bullshit.

What is Pat Robertson is right. Something to think about.

The problem is that you DON'T think. Otherwise you wouldn't be listening to this bigot.

tin, I cannot tell if you're just doing a fantastic deadpan joke or if you're serious. Please say you are not serious. You really think Jesus will return in your lifetime? :sigh:
