In last night’s episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, 'Indecision 2012 - The Great Right Hope - The 180 Club, Stewart highlights Pat "Gay People Cause Hurricanes" Robertson’s concern for how extreme the Republican Party has become.
Stewart explains that it's not just Liberal East Coaster's like himself, who think the GOP nominees have taken things too far. No, even Pat "Gay People Cause Earthquakes" Robertson is telling GOP frontrunners they "have got to lay off" the extreme rhetoric because they won't win the election with that kind of crazy talk.
Robertson believes the Radical Right’s Republican base is forcing Presidential Candidates into positions so terribly extreme, that they will make the candidates unelectable. Stewart surmises that Robertson actually doesn't have a problem with extreme views. In fact he's "A-Ok" with them. It's simply that Robertson understands that "if you tell people what we honestly believe, an electoral majority of those people will freak the f%*$ out." Robertson is right... we're freaking the fuck out!
