Conservative Talk Radio is Dying

Could it be true? Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks says conservative talk radio is dead!

In addition to losing his TV show on Fox News, Glenn Beck has lost nine radio stations, including a station in the nation’s top market, New York City. Rush Limbaugh’s ratings are down in cities across America. To add insult to injury, a more accurate rating system is now in use that reveals conservative talk radio was never doing all that well in the first place.

At this moment I am going away to do my breakfast, afterward having my breakfast coming over again to read other news.

The ONLY reason people listen to these clowns, including me, is because when we are at work the top 40 music stations are usually all that is on, and the music they play is absolute CRAP. I would rather listen to Rush Limbaugh lie and spread a false reality and argue with the radio then have to listen to 12 hours of nickelback or Motley crew.

Other than "Coast to Coast AM" I could care less about AM radio. does it really surprise anyone that Rush, Hannity and Beck are losing listeners? I mean their core audiences are retired paranoid white guys with bad eating habits who refuse to be told wha to do to live a long healthy life. Their main problems are, when these people croak, there are none to step up and take their places as listeners. Young listeners just do not exist. There may be a few that can catch these shows on Xm or satelite radio, but as far as listening to AM radio.... I'm fairly sure that young people under 25 don't even know what an AM station is. Its not that the messages of hate, and paranoid xenophobia aren't shared by a certain segment of the younger rednecks out there, its just a matter of technology. As I said before, if it were not for Coast to Coast AM, I would have absolutely no use for AM radio on my late night drives home from the gigs.

guess they don't have much power as they pretend to have. but isn't TYT conservative?

TYT is independent... problem is Dem's rarely generate bad press that's justified by any legitimate evidence, so they come out as Liberal since most of the blunders they report on are republican
