Perhaps, in an effort to amend some of the damage done by  the controversial history gaffe Sarah Palin made on her recent bus tour, Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian, offers her audience part one of her  poem, The Histories of America.

In this video, Mrs Bowers takes a playful and controversial look at  both the, often unpleasant, founding of our country and some current political outlooks. This wonderful piece of satire is filled to the brim with cutting and clever rhymes, such as:

If vexing facts try to spoil your fun
Give facts the ax; buy the Book of Mormon!

And

Thus began our rash nation's tradition:
To yawn at skill and fawn at ambition.

Mrs. Betty Bowers is a satirical character played by Comedian Deven Green and  was created by Paul A. Bradley. If you would like to see more from America's Best Christian, please visit Betty Bower's Official Website.
