Perry's Response: "I'm Very Comfortable With The Ad"
Written by Frank Minero

Shortly after the bomb dropped on Perry's bigoted "Strong" political ad, he visited with CNN's Wolf Blitzer to, as we find out, further incriminate himself.

In the ad, Perry says "you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know that there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school." Perry reiterated those sentiments in the interview, saying American values are being "trampled on" by the Obama administration.

In fact, it seems Perry loves the ad. "I'm very comfortable with that ad," Perry said. "My faith is part of me. The values that I learned in my Christian upbringing will affect my governing."

In a statement that left a particularly bitter taste in my mouth, when Perry was asked the following by Blitzer, "Separation of Church and State, does that mean anything to you?", his response was one the Freedom From Religion Foundation might also take exception to, "Sure, but it means we're supposed to have freedom of religion not freedom from religion."

Perry said Obama and the political left were waging a "war on religious traditions", Perry continued, "What we're seeing from the left, of which I would suggest to you, President Obama is a member of the left and substantial left-of-center beliefs, that you can't even have a Christmas party. You can't say a prayer at school."

On today's edition of The Jeff Katz Show on WXKS in Boston, Fox New Radio Reporter, Todd Starnes revealed that he's not a fan of Atheists.

Todd Starnes said during a conversation with Katz, "These are these vile atheists that are out there doing this stuff... I had an infestation of those folks on my Twitter account the other day and these people are just horrific."

Host Jeff Katz tells Starnes that Atheists are "Nasty," "Bitter" and "Empty" to which Starnes replies, "Exactly."
