Christopher- the reason so much of our time is spent on talking about religion and defending the lack of ours is because it's EVERYWHERE. We hear people praising Jesus and telling us their prayers for us worked when we accomplish something great. We see it on our money, we read billboards, we watch resulting wars go on and on all because of religion. When someone wants change, you can't sit back and wait for it to happen. We are tired of the discrimination, the infringement upon human rights, torture and death due to the an alleged existence of a smiting superpower. THAT is why we use our brains, hands and voices to oppose all these scary things that need to change. Plus, the only way to live in this world of religion is to also laugh and have a little fun while we're at it!

if one believes in nothing than they have no beliefs, what the hell are we arguing about, reading all this takes me back to when i was much younger and it was a "he said, she said..." scenerio with nothing moremore to prove than being "right" and now that i've aged a bit to know now what i didn't then....it was my insecurities of who I am (was). We can always find someone else to blame for our OWN shortcomings..
so good for you all who take it upon yourselves to hide behind your "belief: of lack of belief" by pointing out all the imperfections if everyone else who doesn't fit how you "believe" life should be... a sad bunch of hypocrites on this page, "christians" and atheists alike..

Dr. Strangelove What are you talking about? The only thing that this god believer could have done would be to admit that he has chosen to have faith without a shred of evidence. And that’s exactly the same as believing in unicorns, mermaids, bigfoot etc. stop trying to deny that!
There are no evidence in any holy texts and there aren’t any other evidence on this planet that suggests that there is a god. So how else could he have saved this situation other that saying that he has chosen to have faith that a god exists, just as some people have chosen to have faith that bigfoot exist?

And Christopher what do you mean we mention “his” name? I don’t often see atheists mentioning Jehova, Yahweh, Adonai or whatever you want to call him. When people believe in things that aren’t real it can cause problems. And it often does! That’s why compassionate people are fighting against the spread of these kinds of lies.

It may well be a fake, mandrake, but you would have to ignore a metric ton of evidence to the contrary to believe that no christian could be that stupid.
