The Legislative Record also notes the physical assaults on workers that refused to strike, distruction of the Steel Co's facilities and attacks on the police that ultimately fired the shots. And Obama liberal? you jest. He is a socialist.

:sad: It is truely unfortunate that sites like this do not know the truth or facts about this. accordinding to historical documents written in 1908, the issue had nothing to do with 5 day week. Furthermore, the 8 hr day was already allowed in Wisconsin,but workers would only get 8hrs pay for 8hrs work. however, the Milwalkee socialist party wanted the workers to ask for 12 hrs of pay for the 8hrs worked.

Actually it was a "crazy" radical left idea supported by socilists and anarchists, too often "liberals" have collaborated with the ownership class to squash militant activism. Look at Obama's corporate friendly polices for example.
