Of course Obama gets credit. Any President gets the credit or blame for what happens under their administration. To paraphrase Truman the buck stops at the Presidents desk.

AMERICA! FUCK YEAH! No, Obama did not literally shoot Osama in the freakin face but he was behind the men and women who did and was the one to signal for the assault. They would not have done it without him. BUSH SUCKED! He proclaimed even in public office that he did not care about the obl issue. I did not vote for Obama. I am 16, but I know what I'm talkin bout more than you delinquents.

End statement and peace out 8)

Sad to think someone would give Obama any credit for this capture considering he knew where BinLaden was since August 2010!! I mean, come on!! Its campaign time and Obama needs the recognition for a "pat on the back"

Why don't you all grow up! It wasn't Obama or Bush that did this. It was our American Soilders and we should all put our political views aside and be grateful for the people who defend our country

By the logic of those that want to give Bush credit for catching OBL.How about making sure that BUSH gets credit for handing out billions of dollars to big banks as opposed to helping the people, putting the nation further in debt AND giving millionares bonus. Also make sure BUSH gets credit for bringing us from having a surpluss of $$ as a country to the worst deficit imaginable.

OR we could delve deeper into the relationship between the Bush and Bin Laden families. Details about Bush helping make sure that Bin Ladens that were in the US at the time of the Sept 11 attacks were able to get back to Saudi Arabia safely AND without being questioned. Naaah, you Rapeublicans don't want to do that,do you??

Let Osama have this victory,it's his. Despite some of his shortcomings as President. He's not the one that sat & blankly read to school children after being told that the nation he is the leader of was attacked.

Regardless who was the quarterback, the team eventually won the Super Bowl. Bush is the Drew Bledsoe of politics ;')

This is so pathetic. I seriously hope there are a lot more intelligent people out there than those that I am seeing allowing Obama to take the credit for Bin Laden's assassination and letting it overshadow all the horrible decisions he's made and the policies he's supported (or good policies he's refused to support). Letting this singular incident override his refusal to secure the border, his desire to make America "The Land of the Free and The Home of the Mexicans", his complete lack of fiscal responsibility with respect to the budget and the many other massive failures that have let us Americans down is just plain ludicrous. How convenient that this event could come at a time when his re-election campaign was sputtering on the fumes of the travesty known as the Obama Administration. Those of us Americans who want our country back WILL "Remember in November" 2012.
