just as Marx's said religion is the opiate of the working man
They use the belief that the here after is better to keep you working and not complaining for your fair share you accept suffering as part of a greater whole instead of seeing the way to solve real world problems
we argue about gays abortion and whether keeping religion out of schools is a devilish plot and if evolution is the devils plot to the same end

Not entirely true. I personally believe that the best results often happen when both are used. Pray if you want, but don't just sit there afterward expecting it all to be "delivered to your front door", so to speak.
