Asking questions are truly pleasant thing if you are not understanding something
entirely, except this post provides fastidious understanding yet.

I guess this is mostly for amusement purpose. Where's the citation if it's the fact?

I appreciate the goal of this chart. More Americans need to wake up to the AMERICAN REALITY and stop flashing the "We're number 1 finger" We're number one alright but not in many positive ways. However being very inaccurate isn't helpful.

It's been well established we have the worlds largest prison population. Total crimes? Maybe so, but it would seem to be in the same category as prisoners. We spend more on defense than the next 19 nations combined. We also have the worlds largest debt. Proportionally speaking I don't know how we stack up against other nations. Those three things say a lot.

McDonald's? Of course, they started here and we are the worlds fast food kings - hands down. :o

All in all this kind of chart/info is a good thing. We need to know were we stand in order to compete better in an increasingly hungry world.

China is now far ahead of the USA in CO2 emissions. And South Africa is far ahead of the USA in rape. The Democratic Republic of Congo ought to be up there somewhere too. "It is estimated that a woman born in South Africa has a greater chance of being raped than learning how to read. One in three of the 4,000 women questioned by the Community of Information, Empowerment and Transparency said they had been raped in the past year. A survey conducted among 1,500 schoolchildren in the Soweto township, a quarter of all the boys interviewed said that 'jackrolling', a term for gang rape, was fun. More than 25% of South African men questioned in a survey admitted to raping someone; of those, nearly half said they had raped more than one person, according to a new study conducted by the Medical Research Council. It is estimated that 500,000 rapes are committed annually in South Africa...." www.rape.co.za/.../

Wait, they forgot to put "belief in god" up there. The U.S. leads in that too! (and no, it's not unrelated to all the other #1 standings in the chart!)
