"My three delightful children are my only chance of at a second life, or even an immortal one. And I'll tell you something; if I was told to sacrifice them to prove my devotion to God and admire the man who said, "Yes, I'll GUT MY KID to show my love of God." I'd say, No... FUCK YOU!" - Christopher Hitchens

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your post seem to be running off the screen in Safari.

I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something
to do with web browser compatibility but I thought
I'd post to let you know. The layout look great though!
Hope you get the problem fixed soon. Cheers

@northierthanth ou...

What is it that I do not know, in this case??

I just stated that hwat God asked Abraham to do, would be to experience the pain of giving up Jesus, in dying for your sins and mine, and the whole world.

What scientific explanation can anyone posssibly gve for LOVE, SIN, etc...

From which evolutionary branch would LOVE come from??

Hence, not everything can be explained 'scientifically'... if the 'survival of the fittest' is the law of evolution, how come then, it is worng to kil??

Attilio, you have no response. The sad thing is you don't know it.

Did GOD REALLY want for Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, or was there some other reason for it, to show something??

To reveal the experience that GOD wold have to go through when He would have given up His Son, Jesus Christ, for the salvation of the world!!!

Spineless cop-out??
I am just stating the fact that to explain the Bible as we explain Chemistry, Physics, Algebra is impossible!!

When the Bible declares:

(Ps 33:6 [KJV])
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

What scientific explanation can you possibly give it??

TO compare the Bible to the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus is - quite ignorant too;

do you set yourself above those that choose to believe these things as clear thinking adults?? It seems that way. :(

Can you explain what 'LOVE' is , or 'SIN' is in scientific terms??

I hope you get my point... :)

Quoting Attilio:
IT seems to me that many things- actually ALL things in the Bible- can ONLY be spiritually discerned...!! So... I definitely see that, if Mr. Hitchens has actually said the above word, with the expletive f--- word, then definitely rudeness and ignorance would be very evident. IT is like trying to explaie the sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross in mere 'scientific' terms... IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
Again... Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.
GOD bless you all and your families.

What a spineless cop out! To say that things in the bible can only be "spiritually discerned," is to take out the possibility of an intelligent debate...which is what all religious people favor for obvious reasons.

You can't explain the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and the Tooth Fairy in "Scientific Terms" either.
